About Anne

Anne Hansen, author

Anne Hansen is a creative author from Sandy, Utah. Her desire to become a writer began in the crook of a huge old oak tree, on the banks of the sugar beet field canal, across the street from her childhood home. There, up high in the tree, Anne’s imagination would take over, and stories and poems would come to life.

Anne holds a BA Degree in Communications from Brigham Young University, where two of her favorite courses were Greek and Roman Mythology and Poetry.

For over 20 years, Anne owned Sweet Afton’s Candy Store located at Gardner Village, West Jordan, UT., delighting customers with old-fashioned treats like salt water taffy and homemade fudge. Anne enjoys writing about family history and has self-published photo, memory, and recipe books. The Linoleum People is her first children’s book.

She loves to travel with her husband, David, and has visited Europe, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Italy, and France, as well as every state in the U.S. Anne and David are parents to two wonderful sons, two incredible daughters-in-law, and 6 perfect grandchildren. Anne is also proud of winning 1st Place for Homemade Sweet Pickles at the Utah State Fair. Her prize was a blue ribbon and $1.00
